Just learned about this product and strongly considering it. Wanted to ask a question about setup/work for DIY'ing. Do you need to prime the ENDU-BOARD before painting? From experience, how many coats does it take? Thank you!

We have done this several times Rich and it comes out great. I believe one of the designer suites shows actually the entire wall with the same color. And I think they have a video with the video section how to paint the walls. It may or may not show how to paint over the trim, but it’s the same thing. Just use a decent brush to get into the gap behind the trim, and you are good to go
If you are using a chair rail version like greenwood we are using high gloss white like you wiuld on crown molding on the railing. Makes it look nice. Also we are opting to caulk up the top of the chair rail against the sheetrock section above. Its not shown in the videos but we can still get the boards in and out underneath
Hello Chris, you can paint the boards with any interior paint from your local DIY shop. We use rollers with 3/8" nap. Like in any paint job, the more high-end the paint, the better coverage you get per coat. We prepaint the boards before installing them, this saves us a lot of time taping edges etc later. Two coats is plenty. No priming needed. Hope this helps! Brett (where are you located?)
