You can if you are sure you will never have to take them off for any moisture or water issue, whether real or suspected. You would need to compound mud the seams and screw holes, and them paint over, basically locking up the wall. If you are comfortable with that and the thought of mold growing inside your wall go for it. We decided against it. Let us know how it turned out though!
If you are looking to screw 4x8 panels on your walls, dont. We thought the same but you end up having to cover the screws and seems and you lock in your wall cavity and thats not a good idea because you can dry it out and have mold growing without being able to combat it. I would think that gyspum board is almost better
Did you ever find any?
Can I use normal drywall screws with your boards?
I am thinking I can put the sheets up against the wall all the way up to the ceiling
