As I'm planning my order, my wife would like us to go with the traditional chair rail trim. But when I start to "build my order" (24" height), it does not allow me to include traditional chair rail for that height and 1/2" drywall width. Is there a reason for this? It seems like RAILI-HOLD/12 and CHAIR-RAIL/A would work for 24" or 36" height. Also a question when using the chair rail at corners - how do you manage corners with this system? Do you have to custom-make all inside and outside corners with the RAILI-HOLD? And any tips in how to adjust the chair rail itself for inside & outside corners? Many thanks!!

sorry i forgot: the chair-rail corners are all miter cut during the installation. They will give you raili-hold for outside corners, but not for inside corners. I am not sure why. Another reason why I wouldn’t mess with their calculations too much to be honest
Maybe there is some confusion about the chair rail. As far as i see it it is in fact compatible with all boards. Without or without the grooves and at any height. They just do not have it set up as a premade suite. But you can make it work if you know what you are doing. You can manually replace some of the unitrim in your shopping cart with the chairrail snd raili-hold. From your message though it sounds like its for your own home or so in which case i wouldnt recommend messing around with the calculations too much. At 24 inches the thick chair rail may not look the best to be honest. I have never seen it but then again many things i have never seen before and they end up looking great.
I believe the wainscoting chairrail type is only available in 36” and 51” heights. In theory you could probably get the 33” boards and cur them down to the 24” height, but that may cause some sort of problems later.
Not sure about the corners right now.
