Has anyone caulked below or above the baseboards and then used a knife to slice caulk before removing during a flood? Trying to get the tightest fit for insect deterrence and insulation purposes. Thank you!
Our philosophy would be to use specific products for what they are meant. For insulation purposes, we would use insulation products in the wall, and for insect deterrence we would get the help of a specialist. But, we may not have the insect issues that you have so those ideas may not be enough. WE have never caulked up the EnduraFlood baseboards as it seems against the product philisophy (except for the top of the chair rail ) but maybe it can be done. I would recommend getting a few types of different caulk from a DIY store and testing for yourself. You probably won't get any answer on this from the endu support either. Definitely post here what you have found!
